Application Architect position available in Hermitage, TN to provide application architecture design leadership for various lines of business and enterprise applications. Responsible for application architecture, data architecture for Essbase and SQL data warehouses, and technical design for high performance and scalability in a distributed, multi-tier and cross-platform environment. Ensure appropriate level of process automation including ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) design between transaction systems and data warehouses. Define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determine technical approaches to ensure all architectural solutions result in a coherent systems design. Create project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and technology organization-s best practices, and consistent with Unified Modeling Language (UML) of Object Oriented Design (OOD) or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) as appropriate. Ensure that all technical architecture deliverables are consistent with standards for ASP, and C# applications. Lead technical design sessions with development teams, including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models, and detailed design specifications to ensure that architecture standards are followed. Facilitate the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices. Provide support / guidance to development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well as five (5) years of experience in Job Offered or five (5) years of experience in the design, architecture and delivery of enterprise level financial systems or, alternatively, a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience as noted above. Experience must include: demonstrated expertise in the design and development of financial application data models using Oracle Essbase, Essbase studio and SQL server; demonstrated expertise in ETL (Extract Transform and Load) design to support creation of Essbase Data Models from SQL based transaction systems; demonstrated expertise performing multi-dimensional data modeling for OLAP solutions for analytical reporting and processing of data; demonstrated expertise designing the middle-tier using C# and .Net, according to Unified Modeling Language (UML), Object Oriented Design (OOD), and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design patterns; and demonstrated expertise in the design, architecture and delivery of financial systems, focusing on financial planning, reporting, and data warehousing.
