Your Role in the Company The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the nursing assistant training program implemented by this facility in accordance with current federal and state guidelines.
Elements of the Position Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate the educational curriculum for the nursing assistant training program for nursing care facilities, as well as other allied health care institutions or agencies.
Serve as liaison officer between participating health care facilities and agencies.
Participate in the selection and/or dismissal of instructors and administrative support personnel for the nursing assistant training program.
Participate in and/or assist facility in constructing class schedules, clinical training schedules, orientation programs, and in-service training classes.
Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the nursing assistant training program.
Direct the preparation, scheduling, and selection of instructional material, equipment and training aids, to ensure that a modern, meaningful training program is provided.
Coordinate continuous in-service training programs to ensure that appropriate topics are included in the program and needs are being met.
Remain current on new developments by attending professional institutions, reading professional journals, and attending professional seminars.
Participate in the monitoring of instructional and skills training classes to ensure that our course curriculum is being followed.
Assist in enrolling students as necessary.
Assist in obtaining and negotiating contracts for the nursing assistant training program.
Assist in maintaining appropriate recordkeeping documents as outlined in the course specifications, as well as may be mandated by current federal and state requirements.
Develop work schedules and instructor assignments to ensure that all classes and clinical practice sessions are properly staffed.
Assist in the development of the department's budget by preparing appropriate cost reports and budgetary needs as required.
Investigate complaints about the program, instructors, course material, etc.
Make written and oral reports to the Administrator as required.

Meet with the Administrator, Director of Nursing Services, In-service Director/Educator, etc.
, on a regularly scheduled basis, and solicit advice concerning their training needs to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services.
Develop and participate in annual evaluations to determine if changes in the curriculum or training techniques need to be made.
Be responsible for administrative and office personnel assigned to the department.
Serve as public relations officer for the nursing assistant training program and promote such program throughout the community.
Represent the facility at top level meetings concerning the nursing assistant training program.
Delegate authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the nursing assistant training program.
Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the nursing assistant training program.
Education Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
LPN preferred.
Experience Must have, as a minimum, three years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
Must have, as a minimum, six months' training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Must have completed a train-the-trainer program approved by this state.
Specific Requirements Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc.
